There is no reference at all for the 6-voice Ave Maria by Josquin. Further, according to the works page and Complete Works Edition accessed from the composer page, Desprez only set this twice, both in 4-voice versions. However, Josquin's name was frequently used in the century after his death by publishers who issued many works under his name that were by other composers, both anonymous and known.
