ca.300dpi color images. RISM. Appears to be dated on the last page Mainz Jan. 10, 1887 by Reznicek. First page is an engraved title page for Carl Voltz of Mainz (dated 1887) which was no doubt intended for a printed edition that never materialized.

Original images: ca.185dpi color jpg files approx. 2000 by 2465 pixels. Editing: re-sampled to 600dpi, converted to black and white tif files, de-skewed, and set uniform margins. In the USA this work is most likely in the public domain because it was published without a compliant copyright notice or no renewal was found after a thorough search of the Catalog of Copyright Entries and it was apparently ineligible for "restoration" under GATT/TRIPS.

Navigation etc.
No evidence that any part of this opera was published in the 19th century or up through 1918. The version used in the 1887 performance was edited by Emil von Reznicek (whose manuscript score is available at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin) but this edition does not appear to have been published.
Lortzing's score apparently uses excerpts from the following works: Die Letzten Dinge by Louis Spohr, Gebet vor der Schlacht by Carl Maria von Weber, La Muette de Portici by Daniel-François-Esprit Auber, and Die Schöpfung by Joseph Haydn.
