This is a neo-classical oboe sonata, that consists of 6 movements: a short Prélude (from 2015, it replaces the former Intrada) and then five ancient dances: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Menuet and Gigue. I intended to compose these dances more modern than in their time but without losing the typical rhythm and character of each of them. Digital performance based on recording in Sibelius 5 and 6 with Garritan Personal Orchestra. Videos with the scrolling score and play along videos (with just the accompaniment) are on my YouTube-channel. On September 29th, 2013 Plamen Prodanov (oboe) and the Mixed Chamber Ensemble gave a public performance of an arrangement by Plamen Prodanov of the Allemande at Balabanov's House in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. This performance is on YouTube.
