The piece is dedicated to Louise Reisner who was a accordion virtuoso and the daughther of the first accordon builder of Paris in 1837 M.Reisner. He also wrote a manual for the instrument in 1835. Her Thême varié très brillant (1836) forms part of the classical repertoire of the accordion.
Carcassi calls her his pupil.
