The Duke University scan is in F major. A scan (of a E.W. Cole publication, also possibly from 1899??) digitized by the National Library of Australia is in A major and is clearly, from its title page, one of several available in different keys for different voice types. The song was recorded on Columbia in the 1910s; 2 1914 recordings can be found on LoC Jukebox. - Schissel

The original publisher was Schmidt (Metcalf was an American). Boosey and Cole were simply licensed agents who issued the piece under their own imprint. This was very common (and sometimes confusing) as it was done to secure copyright in Berne union countries. Now if we can just find Catherine Young Glen. Looks like this is the only thing published..... Carolus
