A Musing… well, of course a play on words. Actually the music is not at all amusing, but quite introspective and ethereal, with shadows of Debussy lurking about. The muted violin and airy piano writing create the intended atmosphere.
I believe I composed it during my time in New York, around 1965... one of the lyric pieces composed “in the closet” as it were, for music in such a traditional style was not taken seriously in that particular scene.
