Navigation etc.

  • As per this discussion, these quartets have been attributed to both Mozart and Beethoven, but were by neither, and in fact the K.Anh.291 number is also not right. Grove Music lists the K.Anh.291 number as a spurious symphony by Michael Haydn, not six string quartets.
  • According to Beethoven researcher Michel Rouch these quartetti capricciosi are by Johann Georg Anton Mederitsch (1752 — 1835).
