In 1802 (the year, or so (An x- 1801/02) (1802 is given specifically on the inside front cover), in which it was mentioned in Annuaire de la Librairie - p.444) the publisher Décombe issued 3 trios for 3 flutes (or 3 clarinets, or flute, oboe and violin) by "Porta" (I assume this Porta, not one of the Renaissance or Baroque Porti :) ), also as Porta's Opus 4... (BNF's catalog only lists two sets of Porta trios- Opp.1 and 11. Perhaps this was a typo, though of course BNF may have lost Op.4.) (As this was volume I of the Annuaire, publications in it are probably "by 1802", not "in 1802", as BNF's contents to date are probably being recorded to some extent?)
The same Annuaire lists a biography of Porta (J.-B. Porta) as having been published in or ca. 1802 authored by D****(conjecturally Duchesne) published by Poignée.
