Opp.4 and 5 were described as Konzertwalzer in Alan Krueck's notes to the 1999 recording (on his own AKCoburg label) containing among other works (some much more substantial) the Valse-Scherzo that is no.2 of the opus 5 set. (He mis-dated, perhaps on the basis of plate number estimation but perhaps other information, the publication of the opus 5 set to 1862–1867, however, and the opus 4 set similarly, contra HMB.)

In einem Bericht von A.W. Gottschalg über die Matineen bei Liszt in Weimar
(1. Matinee am 29.6.1873, NZfM 1873, S. 330):
"Zu grosser Verwunderung der nicht zu des Meisters (Liszt) täglichen Gästen gehörigen spielte derselbe zwei eben im Erscheinen begriffene neue Dräseke'sche, barbarisch schwierige Salonstücke, (Valse nocturne und Valse caprice) so vollendet prima vista, als hätte er diese geist- und harmoniereichen Opuscula schon hundertmal studiert. Daß seinem Falkenauge auch die kleinsten Errata bei dergleichen Gelegenheiten nicht entgehen, wollen wir nur beiläufig bemerken."
