| Extra Information | These two short ayres for lyra viol (in Harpway Sharp tuning d e f h f) are drawn from an unpublished virginal manuscript "Prissylla Herbert her book, 1655" that was part of the Richard MacNutt private collection in Tunbridge Wells, England, in the 1970s. The current whereabouts of the manuscript is unknown. These pieces were copied by hand in the 1970s by Frank Traficante and are transcribed for dissemination here, based on his work. |
