The 1877 publication of Op.16 carries a plate number of 15326. The 1877 publication of the second edition of Op.15 carries the plate number of 15327. Those plate numbers would suggest a publication date of ca.1870 per Richault's plate table. Perhaps it is possible that the plate number of the first edition ca.1870 was used for the 1877 second edition of Op.15 but the copy of Op.16 makes no claim to be a second edition.
Published under the name "Théodore Thurner ainé."
A brief work list of the composer found at Biographie universelle des musiciens et bibliographie générale de la musique, Supplement Vol.2 (1881), page 576 confirms this work to be by Théodore Thurner (1833–1907).
