Navigation etc.
This work is based on Progressive Studies for the violin in four books (five, including Preliminary Exercises), published in 1910. However, the similarly named New school of violin studies in six books (1922) is not, like the viola school, an original work, but, like Kreuz's Select Studies for the Viola a collection of famous studies by many composers, arranged in progressive order of difficulty.
