Also published in 1852 by Schott, according to Hofmeisters Monatsberichte. Don't know if Lemoine publication is earlier or later.


(Given the early date - 17 January - of receipt of the Lemoine edition (see above) - quite possible that publication was in late 1851.)

LoC has three works "Vaillance"- they are variations or arrangements (e.g. for piano four-hands) by other composers on Ascher's theme (e.g. Bellak's variations, published also by Beck & Lawton, in 1857.)
