  • At the end of the vocal score (#537431) it is stated that the text was completed in 1895, music in 1899. This may be about the vocal score only, not the orchestration. However, the libretto was printed in 1899 already. The usual date for this opera is 1902 (Grove, Wikipedia, etc.; where does it come from?).
