Misc. Notes This is a revision of the 1851 Brandus &Cie. Edition. The most significant changes are: (1) Measure numbers have been added, using the Bennington Chamber Music workshop system for measure numbering; (2) Many missing or indistinct staff lines and note stems have been redrawn; (3) Corrected error in flute part by removing extra measure between G and H in last movement, (4) Corrected error in viola part by removing extra measure 12 bars before the end of movement III (Theme and Variations), (5) Corrected error in horn part in measure 120 of Movement I, by removing a spurious bar line from the middle of that measure. BNF gives 1851 for date.

  • Monatsbericht (1851), p.0111 - Kistner. Brandus may have published it as early as 1848 of course, but BNF gives 1851. If the plate numbers in the Brandus table are right (not a given) then 1851, or even 1852/3, seems right however. (Schissel)
