Extra Information This is a composite paraphrase study consisting of two separate exercises/studies originally for 2 cellos by Baudiot, heavily arranged by Grützmacher for cello solo.
The original Lento is Exercice pour le pouce No.8 (Thumb position exercise No.8; Baudiot's Méthode, Part 2, Article 7, p.130) transposed from B major to A major; the Allegretto is originally a Grazioso in A major, Exercice pour les extensions inférieures aux positions du pouce (also from Part 2 of Baudiot's Méthode, p.204).
