Extra Information | In file number 112798, on pg.19, there is an addition of a contrabassoon to support the basses in this section. In file number 26537, there is no contrabassoon mentioned, originally 2 bassoons only. In the part files, there is a possibility that the 3rd and 4th bassoons could be switched out for a contrabassoon in case of lack of bassoon players (instead of 2 bassoons playing 3rd and 4th) or contrabassoon playing 4th bassoon could double the 3rd bassoon as well to give extra depth to the bass section. |
