This completion also incorporates the last page of Mozart's fragment (up to bar 110). The letters M. and B. throughout the score indicate which parts were composed by Mozart or the arranger, respectively.
To make it more accessible, this completion is intended for the more common standard clarinet, despite Mozart's intention having been a basset clarinet. With the exception of a low E-flat that Mozart wrote in the existing fragment, it does not use the basset notes; and an alternative is provided to play this note an octave up. The completion writes up to written g''' for the clarinet, which appears in the Clarinet Concerto (third movement, bar 92).
The main theme of the fragment is based on Ferrando's aria "Ah, lo veggio" from Così fan tutte, K.588, and this completion borrows significantly from it.

Related Works "Ah, lo veggio" from Così fan tutte by Mozart
Extra Information Alfred Einstein believed this was written in 1789, as an early draft for the finale of the Clarinet Quintet in A major, K.581, and that Mozart later decided to use the main theme for Ferrando's aria while composing Così fan tutte. But Alan Tyson points out that the autograph is written on a paper type not seen before Così fan tutte, and suggests that the fragment was probably written after the opera, most likely in 1790.
