1882 would seem to be right, not 1862 ; see L'Univers israélite, 1882. (p.345) necrology of Prosper Seligmann (same birthdate) - falsely and quite impossibly dated by Google to 1832 even though the obituary describes events in 1836 and later; look in the magazine itself to see that the date is 1882.
