Miscellaneous information
- Tentatively identifying the composer of the Organ Postlude with Mary Augusta Laselle (b.1860) known as an author and compiler of books for young people in the period 1911-ca.1920.
The latter is identified as teaching at Newton Technical High School, Newton, Massachusetts in a 1913 publication.
According to American Journalist and Author Blue Book, 1923, p.188 (read imperfectly?), born in Athens?, Vermont (and is described as being at present "of Newtonville, Mass."), January 24 1860? - Present tense used so died after 1922?- but not much mentioned in many sources after 1923 (though of course they are US-copyrighted and less often scanned.) Findagrave.com suggests 1860-1926. This all assuming these two are the same person, of course.
