- Detailed biography: Paul Jacobs was born in New York City. He attended the prestigious High School of Music and Art, after which he received a BA in Music from CCNY. He played principal horn in the Westchester Philharmonic (NY)for 8 years, as well as playing 4th horn in the Santa Barbara Symphony for 8 years. He also held various positions in the horn section of the Wellesley Symphony (MA), the Worcester Symphony (MA) and the Ventura Symphony (CA). For a few years, he gave solo recitals on the recorder, as well as playing the oboe semi-professionally.
His output as a composer is small and of not much significance.
