- Detailed biography: Pietro Cattaneo, born in Como (Italy) in 1998, earned the degree in Organ at the Diocesan Music School “Luigi Picchi” in Como, studying with Alessandro La Ciacera, organist in Milan Cathedral. He then continued his musical studies with Andrea Schiavio, organist in Sant'Abbondio Basilica (Como). Pietro is currently resident organist at the parish church in Cavallasca, not far from Como, and member of the Diocesan Liturgical Committee for the Diocese of Como. He has written more than 100 compositions for different instruments, especially for organ: these works have been performed (in concert and/or in services) and recorded all over the world. His particular interest in the rediscovery of forgotten composers and authors led him to undertake musicological research work, focused primarily on 19th-century sacred music in the Forlì area.
