Born 1874 in Mechelen/Malines (Belgium), died 1938 in Souesmes (Loir-et-Cher, France). [1][2][3]
1st prix for cello at Brussels Conservatoire in 1894. [4]
Played in several chamber music settings: baroque music (gamba), and cello in string quatuors/quintets, particularly contempory music, e.g. the première of Ravel's string quartet in 1904. [5][6][7][8]
