Darcy Blahut is a Canadian poet and librettist whose primary musical collaborations involve the versification of sacred texts in modern English, of both biblical and non-biblical sources. He has given poetic treatment to a wide array of spiritual authors, ranging from cantos upon the Song of Songs to versified sermons originating from the 4th century Patristic Period through to the 12th century. Alongside and part of Blahut's poetic exposition of traditional form is found a host of experimental suites.
