Miscellaneous information
A British composer of comic and humorous songs. His songs were something like a very early example of music hall and comic songs, in the same manner of J. Blewitt. In his later years, following the experience of publishing his comic songs with his own company, he was a music engraver. One of the last earlier songwriters to die in 1873 aged seventy-seven. He left behind a small fortune, £3,000.
