Notes Guessing this is an arrangement of the version for men's chorus of 1880 (the text begins the same way as for that version) - perhaps translation of the voice and piano version published by Doblinger in 1881 without change to the voice or piano parts, perhaps not ; haven't seen yet, can't compare. According to the cover Schirmer also published a version for mezzo or baritone, but in C major.

RISM seems to raise some questions about either this piece or about the melody in the LoC version above - the piece called Blumen-Polka RISM 225002204 is attributed to "Anonymous".
