This particular aria was sung by Broschi's brother, Farinelli.
According to this Wikipedia article, there was a famous 1734 pastiche, to which Broschi contributed at least one aria, in addition to Johann Adolf Hasse, Attilio Ariosti, and Riccardo Broschi.
