This partita does not appear in the J. G. Walther Sämtliche Orgelwerke by Klaus Beckman, Bärenreiter, (1998). So, it would be interesting to know on what grounds this abridged set of variations by Pachelbel (cf. P.377a) and perfectly in the style of this composer, is here attributed to Walther to whom it is completely estrange stylistically.
Besides, the melody is actually not the same as Bach's own setting BWV 643.
It is identical to Bach's Choral BWV 262. As to Walther's attribution, see Klas Grönqvist's Johann Pachelbel: a comprehensive list of his works.--BachFan 20:52, 7 December 2018 (CET)
Also, Beckmann's edition was published by Breitkopf und Härtel, not Bärenreiter.--BachFan 21:00, 7 December 2018 (CET)
