History
Adolph Fürstner (1833-1908) founded the company 1868 in Berlin. He bought the publishers Gustav Mayer (Leipzig) in 1872, C.F. Meser (Dresden) and F. J. Mompour (Bonn). The company was sold to Schott approximately in 1905. The stock still exists in the archive of Schott as a special collection with its own numbering.
