Hoffmeister's works generally though not always had opus numbers. His opus 2, for example, was a set of flute quartets (opus 2 was also given to a set of sonatas for 2 flutes); his opus 16 was also a set of flute quartets (op.16/2 in C minor btw so this is not opus 16), likewise opus 21, etc.
