The January 1821 AMZ Intelligenzblatt lists 3 duos for 2 cellos (without piano?) also as Op.38, by Bern. Romberg- odd.
Publication by Peters was noted on page 11 of Hofmeister's Handbuch published in 1824 (documenting publications for the year 1823). Version is listed as Op.38 and is for cello, viola, and bass.
