(Not sure where the 1870 date comes from? But a serenade by Widor- this one, or op.6, or the one in op.19, perhaps, or another, but mind you, at least in one mentioned case, a serenade needing a cellist!... - was performed a few times in 1872, acc. to the Revue et gazette musicale.)
