Navigation etc.

  • Composition date from: Luis G. Iberni (1995). Ruperto Chapí. Editorial Complutense, p.541. Iberni also mentions a modern (2008) critical edition in a volume of Chapí's Obras orquestrales, made by Ramón Sobrino and Max Bragado.
  • The title page reads Polaca de concierto para piano, transcripción brillante para piano. Makes no sense.
It could make sense if it is that Chapí wrote a piano concerto with a Polacca movement (probably the third movement), and Zabala took it and transcribed it for piano solo. However, the VIAF work list does not show a piano concerto, although there is a generic "Orchestral music". Tagged as a polonaise for now, but subject to correction if someone can find what it's connected to.
