Adagio is the tempo marking here, not necessarily the title (ah, ok, the title page has been reproduced and that shows Adagio for title as well). That said, in Allgemeine Musikalische Zeitung 2 Juli 1845 it receives the title Adagio.

C. Müller - quite possibly Carl Friedrich Müller (1797-1873), first violinist to the Gebrüder Müller quartet in its first incarnation, quartet-resident to the Duke of Brunswick.
